J'miah Nabawi in the International Tent
Join storyteller J’miah Nabawi and Friends in the International Tent as they present “The Global Village of Zumba-Zumba.” The program features various traditional children’s stories from Africa, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
The activities at the International Tent include:
--folktale-games, impromptu storytelling;
--opportunities to practice Spanish, French, Nepali, German and Shona;
--singing in Yoruba, Ki-Swahili and Japanese;
--chanting in Hindi and Twi over a pillow game and some river rocks;
--a Zumba routine with Grace, an authentic Zumba lady;
--a musical journey to Peru and other lands with Nancy Urcuhuaranga, “Chi-Chi” Chiwoneso, Uma and Anjali.
In the tent’s grand finale, J’miah will “geek” marimbas by creating the world’s longest marimba as the public joins in.
