Antonio Sacre is an award-winning solo performer, storyteller and author of 10 plays and more than 30 stories. He has performed at the Kennedy Center, the National Storytelling Festival, The Library of Congress Festival of the Book, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and various theatre festivals nationwide.

At the festival, Sacre will read two of his new books that will be released close to the festival about growing up in two cultures (Cuban and Irish) and a bilingual family.

“I live to inspire people to go and discover their own family stories,” he said.

Sacre earned a B.A. in English from Boston College and a M.A. in Theater Arts from Northwestern University.

He is working on a novel for young readers and currently lives in Los Angeles.

“Find people who inspire you,” he tells young authors.
