LIBRARY DIRECTOR
FLSA: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Live Oak Public Libraries Regional Board of Trustees

Plans and directs the operations of the Live Oak Public Libraries in accordance with the constitution and
bylaws, strategic plan, policies and budget adopted by the Live Oak Public Libraries Board of Trustees.
Develops policies and procedures for the library system and has full responsibility for their administration.
Serves as Secretary to the Library Board of Trustees and sits on the Board of Directors of the Live Oak Public
Libraries Foundation with all responsibilities required in those positions. Performs other related work as
required by the Library Board of Trustees.

This position is located at 2002 Bull Street, Savannah, GA 31401. No relocation is being offered for this
position.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & VOLUNTEER SERVICES MANAGER
FLSA: Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Public Services
REPORTS TO: Area Coordinator

Under general supervision of an Area Coordinator, is responsible for all community outreach activities,
special projects such as book sales, and as an LOPL liaison to the Friends of the Library; oversees the
bookmobile, daycare drop services, homebound services, deposit collection services, while diligently
working to expand all; works with Area Coordinator in conjunction with ADPS to create and implement
annual outreach plan; attends outreach events such as Parent University, Library Card Signup Month, and
others; works with Communications department to ensure outreach materials are available for events;
Manages and coordinates volunteers for various activities. Work is reviewed by immediate supervisor.

COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
FLSA: Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Development & Communications
REPORTS TO: Director, Development & Communications

Under the supervision of the Development & Communications Manager, the Communications Coordinator
is responsible for maintaining the organization’s brand and for promoting greater usage of the Library
through increased visibility. Regularly schedules internal and external communications using multiple
platforms. Creates, implements, and oversees communications programs that effectively describe and
promote the Library and its programs and services. Experience in Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing,
Web Design, understanding of Information Architecture and a basic knowledge of HTML are necessary.
This position plays a key role in the regional promotion of the Library’s major annual events and fundraising
efforts through design of materials and advertising contract negotiations.
