The mission of the Live Oak Public Libraries Foundation is to raise private funds to help support library programs and services in the 19 branches of the Live Oak Public Libraries in Chatham, Effingham and Liberty counties and to develop community awareness and support for the understanding of the true value of a quality library system.

Adopt a Book for our collections.
Purchase a limited edition of The Little Reader sculpture by Savannah artist Susie Chisholm.

The Annual Fund
Gifts to the Annual Fund support programs such as the Savannah Children’s Book Festival, the library’s annual Vacation Reading Program and additional programming for all ages throughout the year. Funding for the Business Resource collection and the library’s marketing budget are foundation initiatives as well.

Library Legacy Fund
Gifts to the Library Legacy Fund build an endowment fund primarily for the purpose of increasing the collections of the Live Oak Public Libraries and to support fully the general educational purposes of the Library. Public funding for the library is very unpredictable. Endowment income will enable the library staff to maintain the integrity of the
collection in negative funding cycles and eventually make possible an expansion of the breadth of offerings available to library users. It is not intended to supplant public funding.
