Placing Holds

PlaceHolds.jpg

If the item you want isn't in your library branch or is on order, you can "place a hold" on that item and we'll make sure you get it.

If it's in another branch, we’ll send it to whichever branch you choose for pick-up.

If all of the copies are checked out or it’s on order, we'll call or e-mail you when it comes in, and you can pick it up at a branch you choose.

All you need is your library card number and PIN. You can obtain your PIN at any Live Oak Public Libraries branch.

To place a hold:
· Search the Library Catalog for the item you want;
· Make sure it's the format (book, CD, etc.) that you want;
· Choose Place Hold and follow the instructions on the screen.

To remove a hold: Use the My Account feature to Review My Account. Holds can be cancelled from that screen.

PLEASE NOTE: Items that do not circulate (such as reference materials) cannot have holds placed on them.
