Friends of the Library Used Book Sale
Young Writers Contest
Write a poem and include at least 5 words from some of our featured festival books. Your poem can be about any topic of your choice. So get creative and pick from the words in the flyer. Entry deadline is at 6 p.m. on Fri., Sept. 26, 2014
“Love My Card” Balloon Party
September is Library Card Signup Month and we’re celebrating with a special balloon party presented by Savannah Balloons. Featuring the stories “Aladdin,” “Robin Hood” and “Harry Potter”. A library card isn’t required to attend the program (but if you don’t already have one, it’s a perfect time to “get carded”).

Archaeology Time with Indiana Jenn
In this hands-on program, children ages 4 and up will learn what tools archaeologists use, why archaeologists dig in the dirt, and what they find when they dig. Indiana Jenn, aka Jennifer Nash, is a professional archaeologist and adjunct instructor at Georgia Southern University.
