If so, then you will have a blast reading, creating music and re-telling stories set in the
wetland and shores of Georgia and South Carolina with Dede will be sure to captivate your
imagination as you act out the story and create the music along with other library friends!

Author Michael Freeman will discuss some of the topics in his book, “Savannah’s Monuments: The Untold Stories,” which details the histories and behind-closed-door chronicles of 69 monuments in Savannah.
Join the Fiber Guild of the Savannahs for a special screening of “Coton Jaune, Acadian Brown Cotton: A Cajun Love Story,” a documentary film about the history, tradition and artistry of handspun and handwoven Acadian brown cotton blankets, and the Cajun women who made them.
Meet Sharon Gordon Donnan, one of the film’s directors, who will be leading the post-screening discussion, and sharing her artifacts and stories

Join us for an evening of conversation to celebrate Garden City Police Chief David Lyons’ book, “A Long Way from Whitehall.” The book tells Lyons’ story of growing up poor in rural Alabama, his career in the Navy and Army, and his eventual decision to pursue police work. Chief Lyons will relate some of the many adventures he has had along the way and will surely inspire those in attendance through his tales of perseverance and drive.
