Get e-books from OverDrive via Georgia Download Destination. There are a number of popular titles for you to download.

Freading offers e-books with no waiting from a number of publishers.


 
Here are some great places where you can download free e-books!

eBooks on EBSCOhost available through GALILEO.

Google Books allows preview and full view of millions of books and magazines. A wonderful resource! Download full view titles in PDF and EPUB.

Open Library, from the Internet Archive, offers e-books to download in multiple formats, including MOBI/send to Kindle.

ManyBooks.net is an easy-to-search collection of free ebooks, downloadable in many formats.

Project Gutenberg is the "the first producer of free electronic books (ebooks)."

Feedbooks.com offers free public domain books, both old enough to have droppped out of copyright and new works by authors hoping to get noticed.

Free e-books has free standard memberships that give members unlimited access to e-books in the HTML format and access to 5 e-books every month in the PDF and/or TXT formats.

Munseys.com has some classics, but mainly seems to specialize in old adventure, science fiction, and detective pulp fiction. Books are available in all e-reader formats.

Baen Books: This science fiction and fantasy publisher is making some of its titles available digitally and includes some well known authors.


Many reader vendors (Amazon, Apple) also provide access to free ebooks.


Book Lending is a website that matches lenders and borrowers of Kindle e-books. This is similar to similar to e-book Fling which allows lending of Kindle and Nook titles between owners.


Digital Book Index provides links to more than 165,000 full-text digital books from more than 1,800 commercial and non-commercial publishers, universities, and various private sites, including Gutenberg, NetLibrary, Google, and many, many universities worldwide.

Inkmesh is a search engine that makes it easier to find free e-books and compare e-book prices for the Kindle, iPhone, Sony Reader, Nook and more.
